Old and new - hydrangea leaf buds competing with old deadheads. Spring is definitely on the way at this stage.

A little later the same day - taken through the car window when waiting to collect the girls from the school bus. I like the depth of field (DOF)... As Sue Avery says on Flickr, it almost looks three dimensional.

There were loads of birds fighting for bread. This one just grabbed it and is on the way back up. See the beak of the rather slower mallard on the right.
